Nice upgrade for the price

This reconstruct kit arrived in perfective condition, no missing parts. The handles are good quality and the chromed constituents look good. The valves are a bit cheap but they seem to be keeping up. The new brass valve seats are great. Only issue is the screws that hold the handles on don’t seem to stay tight. A little lock washer or locktite will repair this. Also, the transfer valve for tub/shower has to be very tight to get all the water out the tub fill only.

Look nice, OK to install, out of the question to tighten

They work, but not well. It is out of the question to get the handle screws to tighten (if you go to hard, the handle ceramic will break) so the handles stay loose. But they stopped our leaky tub faucet, so that’s good, and the valves themselves feel smooth.

Not a good alternate for general metal faucet knobs

I purchased this kit looking forward to renewing the look of our older shower fixtures. First of all the nut above the compression washer was too loose and had to be tightened significantly to stop the faucets from leaking from the stem. And second, the design of the cross arm handles don’t altogether cover the white plastic threaded tube amidst the handle and the flange, which looks rather ugly. It’s very disappointing because this product is sold mainly as a alternate for the older style handles (Danco Perfect Match 88444 Replacement Handles For Price Pfister) which cover the gap among the handle and the flange. I would only buy this kit if you already have the cross-arm handles insalled in your shower. I’m hoping that they trade a shorter cartridge or longer flanges.
